Those in the mainstream media who are dedicated to opposing President Trump above all else are willing to throw their support behind almost anyone who takes a harsh stand against the President. Time and time again, though, the media’s efforts to bolster up the Trump-bashing flavor-of-the-week have failed. Now, the resistance media is lobbing yet another Hail Mary, this time by throwing their support behind the radical Republican Presidential candidate and radio host Joe Walsh.
Just to be clear, Joe Walsh has zero chance of winning the White House no matter how much coverage the media gives him. With that said, though, the fact that Walsh is willing to lie and sling mud at President Trump without any sense of shame while still claiming to be a Republican means that those in the mainstream media are all too willing to cover Walsh and his campaign – and they’ve been giving him far more coverage than his longest of longshots campaign deserves.
Ultimately, Joe Walsh is even more hateful and divisive than even the Democrats that are running on the other side of the aisle, and the mainstream media loves him for it. If they are genuinely hoping that Walsh will present an actual obstacle to Trump’s 2020 campaign, though, saying that they are delusional would be an understatement.
