The Media Goes Out of its Way to Defend AOC…Again

Defending someone as outrageous and illogical as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is no easy task. Ever since Ocasio-Cortez burst onto the national spotlight in 2018, though, the mainstream media has been more than willing to take on the challenge.

Now, the talking heads in the media are hard at work defending Ocasio-Cortez yet again – this time by claiming that she is an expert on democracy.

This defense became necessary after Ocasio-Cortez’s recent Twitter rant where she bashed the Electoral College, and called for it to be abolished. The media took it upon themselves to provide Ocasio-Cortez with a more upright and righteous reason for this stance. According to the media, Ocasio-Cortez is a political mastermind who understands the true vision that the Founding Fathers really had in mind when they wrote the Constitution.

When you consider the fact that Ocasio-Cortez has made it very clear that she isn’t an expert at anything aside from posting on social media, the absurdity of this defense becomes laughably apparent.
