The Liberal Reaction to Kanye West is Priceless

We don’t know what Saturday Night Live expected when they invited Kanye West on to host.

This is the guy whose own management team jammed into a mental health facility after he proclaimed at a concert that he will give Trump a chance and that everyone else should too. This is the same Kanye West who said right on live TV right next to Mike Myers that George Bush Jr. doesn’t care about black people after the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. It’s the same Kanye West who has been saying all his life that he will say what he thinks no matter what.

So Kanye goes on SNL, like you do, and starts saying all sorts of things that the left wing wingnuts at SNL don’t want him to say. So what do they do? They cut his whole speech out of the show! What could be more live than straight up censorship?

Do you remember when SNL used to be live? It’s called Saturday Night Live for heaven’s sake. It used to be candid, off the cuff. It was always well rehearsed but also dynamic and unpredictable. These days, you know what you’re going to get- a running string of anti-Trump gags. What could be less live than that? What could be more boring?

Here’s Andrew Klavan with more on this story.
