At first, it seemed like a good thing — and some good has come out of it. But the #MeToo movement has been weaponized against men, making anyone who has ever made an overt sexual gesture at any time in their lives subject to wild accusations, public scrutiny, and very likely to lose their livelihoods for good.
A recent feud between Jimmy Kimmel and Sean Hannity ended abruptly when Hannity pointed out that the virtue signaling Kimmel has been harassing women on camera for laughs ever since he was on the Man Show with Adam Corolla. Kimmel abruptly apologized and exited the debate.
The events leading up to the #MeToo movement have done some good though. Specifically, it has shed a lot of light on the unbelievable amount of sexual predation and perversion going on in professional Hollywood. What’s sad is that all it takes now is an accusation, to take down a person’s career. Also, it hasn’t stopped liberals from ignoring the crimes of the people they love, like Roman Polanski, who drugged and raped a child in the 70s. He is applauded by auditoriums full of Hollywood phonies for his artistic achievements even while absent because he is still avoiding arrest. They also are not concerned about the fact that Oprah has been accused by actresses for pimping them out to Harvey Weinstein who brutally abused them.
