Liberals get offended by basically everything. Every holiday is riddled with articles from places like Slate, Vox, Huffpost, Buzzfeed, and others telling us why everything we love is actually “problematic” and should be destroyed.
As a religious holiday celebrated by billions of people around the world — that is, a Christian holiday — Christmas without a doubt receives the worst treatment. Just this week, we found out that Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer is racist, and that snowmen prefer to be called “snowpeople” because piles of frozen water have feelings too.
We really wish we were making this stuff up.
But today, we’re going to look at one of the left’s oldest grievances with Christmas, other than the fact that it exists in the first place. Because if you want to offend a liberal at any point during December, all you really have to do is say “merry Christmas.”
Now, you already know getting offended by this or any other genuine expression of goodwill (“happy holidays” is fine) is pretty dumb. But there is perhaps no one better explain exactly how dumb it is than an Orthodox Jew who doesn’t even celebrate Christmas.
