Student Kicked Out of Coffee House for Being Conservative
What would you do if the student running the campus coffee center told you to get out — not because you were causing a ruckus or shoplifting, but because you were wearing a MAGA hat?
Believe it or not, that’s exactly what happened to conservative coffee drinkers on Fordham University campus in New York, who simply wanted a place to enjoy a latte and conversation. Instead, they were met with hostility.
“No one here wants people like you supporting our club,” the barista said. She even likened the hats to fascism and Nazis, and gave the conservatives three minutes to hide their hats or get out.
She then stated that the hats violated the University’s “safe space” policy. Fordham University issued a statement that there is no safe space policy at the university, and they do not discriminate against people with different political views in any public space. The university further stated that it is investigating the incident and will take appropriate measures.
One of the “radicals” who wanted coffee was Aaron Spring. The barista turned to him and told him that he was obviously part of the group and should leave because he was wearing a hat with the American flag on it. He refused because he said he had a right to be there.
With liberals on campus being special snowflakes, it’s easy to see why conservative coffee drinkers were harassed for wearing patriotic hats. Spring doesn’t think the university will do anything about it.
