Steven Crowder Debates Affirmative Action at Liberal College Campus

Conservative YouTube comedian Steven Crowder uploaded the latest addition to his infamous “Change My Mind” series, this time tackling affirmative action.

For those who don’t know, affirmative action is a policy adopted in the aftermath of the Civil Rights movement that encouraged businesses, universities, and other public institutions to make a conscious effort to hire or accept more people of color. The idea here was to disregard personal merit or qualifications, and place a premium on racial background to correct historical racism.

Well, we all know how that turned out…

Affirmative action has since met an absurd amount of legal challenges. Even now a group of Asian-Americans are suing Harvard Law School because they are actually turning them away in favor of different minorities. This is what happens when you remove meritocracy from the equation…

Obviously, you might expect people of color at a progressive university to support this idea, but Crowder found some unexpected common ground with one minority student. We really do encourage you to watch the entire thing.
