CRTV’s Steven Crowder delivered a truly epic defense of American ideals during his first-ever live broadcast from Virginia Tech.
While Crowder’s program places a much heavier focus on comedy gags than some of his other contemporaries, he is able to articulate his politics just as well as anyone else. Toward the end of his performance at VT, the host was asked to share why he believes American ideals — that is, specifically freedom of speech — are superior to the ideals of other countries and cultures.
Right off the bat, Crowder dispels the notion that maintaining such cultural pride is inherently racist. Instead, he draws on the significant cultural differences between America and other parts of the world such as those countries that don’t exactly share the liberal idea of gender equality.
As Crowder points out, there has never in the history of human civilization been a better place for individuals to survive and thrive and exchange ideas.
