Reality Check: America is Not “Turning its Back” on Immigrants

According to President Donald Trump’s political opponents, there has never been a worse time to be an immigrant living in the United States.

While the president promises to strengthen America’s borders and enforce federal immigration laws more strictly, the likes of Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and others insist that America is entering into unknown territory. Strangely enough, all this great unknown seems to involve is actual enforcement of the law.

This radicalized rhetoric doesn’t stop there. Critics of President Trump’s immigration policies also suggest that America is closing itself off from the rest of the world, and effectively turning its back on people that deserve a peaceful place to live.

Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, as the video below points out, the United States still has among the most liberal immigration policies out of any other country in the world.
