President Trump Claims Socialism is Dying
Socialism may be gaining some ground in the United States, but in many other parts of the world, the popularity of socialism is waning.
In Venezuela, for instance, socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro is facing increasingly harsh resistance. Meanwhile, opposition leader Juan Guaidó has been recognized as the rightful President of Venezuela by Trump and a number of other world leaders, and he is quickly gaining the support of both the Venezuelan people and the Venezuelan military.
The people of Cuba and Nicaragua – the other two socialist countries in the Western Hemisphere – are not pushing back against their socialist governments as hard as the people of Venezuela, but President Trump believes we are still witnessing the beginning of the end of socialism in the Western Hemisphere.
Of course, this certainly won’t be true if the United States goes down the path of socialism – a path that many in the Democratic Party are all too eager to follow. However, Trump remains adamant that the United States will never be a socialist country.
