President Trump Announces Fake News Award Winners

President Donald Trump has been the target of “fake news” like no other public figure in the history of the United States. According to studies, over 90 percent of the media coverage of the president in 2017 was negative and riddled with bias and even outright untruths.

In celebration of this dubious honor, President Trump recently released the winners of the Fake News Awards. Perhaps, not surprisingly, The New York Times secured the number one slot for fake news.

With the newspaper’s false reporting of a Hillary Clinton victory during the presidential election in 2016, the news outlet has continued to release negative and fake news stories aimed at discrediting President Trump. In fact, the newspaper predicted that President Trump would not follow through on tax cuts and that his strategies would send the country’s economy into a downward tailspin from with it would not be able to recover.
