PragerU Asks: Who Will Google Silence Next?

By now, it’s understood where Silicon Valley giants Google and its subsidiary YouTube really stand on free speech on each of their respective platforms — everything right of center is subject to a level of scrutiny that would seem completely foreign to anyone on the left.

But, what if this is only the beginning — and Google has in mind to censor a plethora of other content as well? Perhaps conservative content creators are not the only ones who should be worried.

This is the question asked by PragerU, a popular channel known for publishing exclusively educational content. The channel is currently suing Google for demonetizing almost 40 of their videos on the grounds that they are not appropriate for younger audiences. All of the subject matter which was affected by the virtual ban is explicitly educational in nature.

“Google and YouTube dominate internet search with over 75% of the market. If you disappear on Google, your ability to voice your opinion disappears too,” the video says.
