PragerU Asks Hollywood Liberals if America was Ever Great

You know the country is dangerously divided when a significant portion of it is doesn’t even believe that it has ever been a nice place to live.

American greatness has been politicized, and it did not start with President Donald Trump’s merchandizing. After all, Trump’s now-infamous campaign slogan is a simple nod to the 1980 phrase used by former President Ronald Reagan for the same purpose.

It’s hard to tell when Americans began apologizing for living in a global superpower. It could have started with former President Barack Obama’s global apology tour, or his dismissal that “American exceptionalism” is even a real thing. You could even go as far back as the 1960s, when the deeply entrenched radical left finally began exposing itself for what it is: anti-American, and pro-communist. Even back then, however, anti-government protests were often filled with American flags. Liberals at the time celebrated America, rather than reject everything it has ever represented.

Knowing what we know now, you can probably tell where this video is going. Almost none of the responders have anything positive to say about the country that is chiefly responsible for ensuring a new era of economic prosperity and security not just for itself, but for almost every other nation affiliated with it. However, it’s still entertaining to watch Hollywood liberals struggle to explain themselves.
