It should come as no surprise that the words and actions of Democratic politicians often differ dramatically. While Democrats seem to acknowledge the need for border security in many of the speeches that they deliver, they are also quick to resist any and all efforts by President Donald Trump and the GOP to actually make it happen.
Democratic politicians can sense the tide turning against them on border security, and their recent comments about the need for border security are made for entirely political purposes. However, the ultimate goal of the Democratic party remains open borders.
Fully open borders is a key component of the left’s dream for a multicultural, utopian America. Undeterred by the disastrous results of European countries that have opened up their borders in order to chase this impossible goal, Democratic politicians continue to push for the United States to follow the same blueprint. It isn’t the border wall, or ICE, or deportation that they oppose, but rather the entire concept of border security itself.
