NFL Star Burgess Owens: “Why I Don’t Want or Need Reparations”

The Left has no respect for black people, or for any minority group for that matter. If you are a black person, a woman, an immigrant, or a member of any group that the Left calls oppressed, the fact is that people like AOC, Nanci Pelosi, and every college professor who teaches a class that ends in the word ‘studies,’ thinks you are a weak, ineffectual loser who must be taken care of.

In particular, if you’re a black person, this is what the Left thinks of you;

They believe you are emotionally incontinent, that you cannot control your feelings. They believe that you are financially inept and irresponsible, and that managing money is beyond your ability. They believe that you are of substandard intelligence, and you need special tests and special dispensation to get into college, to get a job, and to make reasonable decisions.

If you are a minority, and particularly, black, the Left believes you cannot take care of yourself. Not only that, but they demand that working-class white people should pay for your care and upkeep. That is beyond insulting.

This is the kind of thinking that’s behind the idea of reparations for slavery.
