Meghan McCain Steps Out of Her Father’s Shadow

Meghan McCain is perhaps the first scion of this generation to make her name known outside of the shadow of her great legislative parents.

Daughter of venerable Senator John McCain (R-AZ), young Meghan is making her bones bravely defending conservative policies on liberal shows. As liberals celebrate Paul Ryan’s statement that he would not seek reinsertion into the House Speaker position, Meghan went on The View to speak, quite eloquently, about how liberals actually cause extremism in the Republican party.

The audience of The View, staunchly liberal and inclined (perhaps forced) to applaud everything the liberal hosts say, were shocked into silence when Meghan deftly stated that rejection of the demeanor of Paul Ryan leaves liberals only with people like Trump. You could feel it in the air. People in the audience wanted to say that Meghan had a point. They couldn’t, because they might have been kicked out of the studio (the majority of people who populate the seats at those daytime talk shows are underpaid actors).

The true reaction to look for, however, was in the hosts. All of them were dumbstruck as well. These women of The View, all paid to be loudmouths, literally had nothing to say for at least a few beats after Meghan made her statement. This was perhaps the most damning evidence that she had basically won the argument.

Take a look at the tape and at Shapiro’s commentary – it will make you proud.
