Since Donald Trump was elected, Rep. Maxine Waters has been thrust into the national spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
Her first claim to fame in the Trump era came about when she made waves about a phone call that Trump had with the spouse of a fallen soldier, saying that he was cold and disrespectful. These accusations were eventually proven false, making Maxine seem like an ambulance-chasing dolt, but, nevertheless, she persisted in her anti-Trump crusade, going on to call for people to harass members of the Trump administration in public — a comment that both Democrats and Republicans called out as divisive and dangerous.
Now that Maxine Waters has turned eighty years old, she has but one birthday wish according to her interview on MSNBC — to see Trump removed from office. It turns out, though, that Maxine’s one and only birthday wish is her one and only policy position as well.
Maxine Waters has done nothing for the people of Florida or the people of the United States at-large. She’s become a well-known figure in the Democratic Party only because the comments she makes regarding President Trump are even more outlandish than the comments of her colleagues. However, the people of Florida deserve better than a woman who’s only interest and only platform is opposing the president.
