Conservative thinkers have been railing against the mainstream media since they were able to have their thoughts published.
At the dawn of the conservative media revolution, columns expressing this were limited to the op-ed pages of the Wall Street Journal, or to magazines that explicitly labelled themselves as conservative outlets (think the National Review or the Weekly Standard, when that was still a thing).
The mainstream media reaction to this was predictable, and continues to be to this day. Content creators of this type are labelled as extremist ideologues that do little more than craft propaganda to push an agenda. This assessment is hypocrisy to the highest degree, since this is exactly what the likes of CNN and ABC News have been doing for years. The difference is that people like Rush Limbaugh or Tucker Carlson on Fox News are completely honest about their perspective. CNN still wants you to believe it is an objective news agency.
In the modern day, with major outlets now forced to compete with essentially every person with an internet connection, there is pressure for media personalities to be more honest about their bias. This, according to Mark Levin, is the biggest battle going on inside newsrooms today.
Watch Levin discuss this in detail with Ben Shapiro below.
