Liberals Already Fantasizing About Trump’s 2020 Loss

The past few years haven’t been easy for the Democratic Party and its supporters. After giving up control of Congress under President Obama, Democrats felt that putting Clinton in the White House as well as reclaiming control of Congress was all but a given. Of course, that didn’t happen, and Republicans swept the 2016 election.

Ever since, Democrats have been promising that the tides were about to change, yet they went on to lose one special election after another. Now, the “blue wave” that they have been counting on to take back Congress in 2018 is looking less and less likely as well.

In response to a political reality that is no-doubt difficult to swallow, some Democrats have begun to retreat into the world of fantasy.

Recently, the New York Times published a fictional piece that was set in the future which detailed how Donald Trump lost the 2020 Presidential election. Before this piece of liberal fantasy, there were other fictional pieces describing an alternate universe full of rainbows and butterflies where Hillary Clinton won in 2016.

With so few recent victories to be proud of, it’s hard to blame the left for making up their own, fictional victories to celebrate. Nevertheless, such articles are still yet another sign as to how out of touch modern liberals have become.
