Liberal Megadonors are Trying to Steal California Elections
Local and state elections are supposed to be decided by the people within the city, county, or state where the election is taking place. However, that isn’t always the way it turns out since millionaires and billionaires across the country are allowed to give money to any candidate that they want regardless of whether or not they live in that candidate’s jurisdiction.
Recognizing the importance of keeping California a leftist stronghold, liberal megadonors such as George Soros are pouring money into the state in an attempt to sway both state and local elections in California.
In spite of the fact that California is a predominantly blue state, there are a few districts in California that typically vote Republican and send GOP candidates to the House. Now, though, GOP candidates in those districts are saying that the battle they are facing is harder than ever before thanks to an influx of outside money donated to their Democratic opponents.
A few million dollars may not be enough to buy a Presidential election, but it can be enough to buy local elections as well as Congressional elections in close races. Nowhere do Republicans have more of an uphill climb than California, meaning that it’s easier for liberal megadonors to steal elections in California than it is in most any other state.
