Following the 2016 election, foreign meddling in US politics has become the number one concern of leftists across the nation as they try desperately to prove that Trump colluded with Russia in order to secure his victory. However, according to an investigation carried out by One America News, those on the left concerned about foreign influence in our politics might want to shift their attention inward.
The Center for American Progress, a left-wing think tank founded by former White House Chief of Staff John Podesta, is one of the most influential organizations in Washington, producing reports for Congress on liberal agenda such as amnesty for illegal immigrants and the restriction of gun rights. However, we’re now learning that the Center for American Progress has received millions of dollars in donations from foreign governments including the United Arab Emirates and Japan.
It is obvious to these governments that the Center for American Progress is leading the charge against President Trump and his agenda. It also goes without saying that where there is money there is influence, and with the Center for American Progress accepting such large amounts of money from foreign countries it is not at all a stretch to conclude that they are, at least in part, lobbying on behalf of these countries.
