Joe Biden Completely Contradicts Himself on Presidential War Powers

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign is boring, littered with errors and gaffes, and completely void of the cultish devotion seen with other figures like Bernie Sanders or President Donald Trump.

But Biden has one very powerful thing going for him: the nostalgia factor. See, with Trump in office and Congressional Democrats losing their minds when the president so much as asks for an extra scoop of ice cream, the political situation in America feels like it’s in a constant state of chaos. Biden’s answer to this is simple. All he has to do is go the American people and say “remember when things weren’t so complicated? Remember when we all got along?”

Now, the truth is that this was not the case under his watch. When Biden served as Barack Obama’s number two, the country was just as politically divided as it is now. But people aren’t thinking about 2010 in this election cycle. Hell, half the country is still hung up on 2016. So, Biden gets away with this blatant lie.

But, there’s a serious drawback to staking your entire pitch on nostalgia and the fact that you’ve been in politics since the beginning of time — everything you’ve done has been documented. So, when Joe does things like claim he’s always opposed presidential war powers, it comes back to bite him pretty hard.

And that’s exactly what just happened.
