Jesse Lee Peterson Calls Out Hypocrisy in American Culture

Make no mistake, we are in a war for the culture. It is an ideological war, a legal war, and a reputational war. It is not a war of steel and bombs. For that, we have the founders, all of western tradition, and God to thank. But it is a war, nonetheless. And do not think that there are no casualties. People are losing jobs, being sent to jail, having careers and families destroyed, enduring false accusations, and having their personal safety and even that of their children and families threatened.

Over the last two or three years, we’ve heard talk of the culture war going hot — that is, turning into a civil war. The left wants that, because once you engage in actual violence, then their name-calling might begin to stick. But we’re doing everything we can to prevent it from becoming a hot war, or a second civil war.

We should consider ourselves supremely lucky to be probably the first generation to have the opportunity to fight for our country and win without having to kill the enemy. But at the same time, we should be ashamed not to do our part. Because it is truly is a war — but a war where the bullets are not yet flying — to not do our part is to be a coward of the worst description. For cowards in this war are cowering from words, not guns, not bombs, not poison gas- but words.

Here’s Jesse Peterson with some words for Christians who do not rise to their calling.
