ISIS Kills Christian Family Day After Easter

In the time since Trump took office, ISIS has been dealt a heavy blow, losing a large majority of the territory they once controlled. Much of this has to do with tactical changes on behalf of the US military that took place after Trump delegated more decision-making power to military leaders.

However, in spite of the fact that ISIS is on the run, their evil influence in the world still remains a serious threat. This was made horrifyingly clear the day after Easter Sunday.

On April 2, a Christian family was traveling through Pakistan in a car when they were stopped by a group of ISIS fighters on motorcycles. The fighters proceeded to murder three of the family members as well as their driver. Only one child inside the vehicle survived. On the same day, ISIS claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing that took place in a Christian church in Balochistan, which borders Pakistan.

The Trump administration has accused Pakistan of not doing enough to stop terrorism within their borders. In response, the Pentagon has withheld $900 million in counter-terrorism funds to Pakistan.

In spite of the heavy losses they have been dealt, the war against ISIS is far from over. So long as the group continues to carry out senseless, horrific attacks such as these, it is the responsibility of the US to continue the fight until not a single ISIS flag is left flying.
