Is Nancy Pelosi the GOP’s Secret Weapon for 2018?

Republicans and Donald Trump are pretty excited about a potential candidate – and it’s not their own. As this video shows, President Trump, along with many of his GOP strategists, are quite sure that elevating Nancy Pelosi’s profile will help Republican candidates in the long run.

Republicans feel that the more glimpses the public gets of this die hard, wealthy liberal Democrat, the faster and harder they’ll run towards the polls – to vote for the GOP candidate. In several states, GOP candidates have compared the competition to Pelosi; this has proven to be a winning strategy so far.

It’s not new – Republicans adopted a similar strategy as many as eight years ago, comparing Democrat candidates for a variety of seats with then President Barack Obama. According to the Washington Post, GOP candidates spent over $50 million advertising dollars on negative Pelosi ads in 2010 alone – and that figure continues to rise.
