Huckabee Slams Media for Hit Job on Trump’s Asia Trip
Former Arkansas governor, presidential candidate, and Fox News contributor Mike Huckabee dove deep into the mainstream media in response to what he called a “hit job” on President Trump’s foreign policy excursions in Asia.
Speaking to the morning show Fox and Friends, Huckabee took aim at the mainstream media’s treatment of the president for a seemingly benign and routine tour. Trump’s recent activity included visits to Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and China. While there, the president doubled down on his intent to ensure fair trade deals, and promoted solidarity within the region to contain the North Korean threat.
According to Huckabee, the media focused on none of these positive contributions.
“I think Trump has had a remarkable trip,” he said. “He’s gone to these various countries, he’s shown his ability to negotiate with the world leaders in a way we have not seen in decades…he’s straightforward with them. We’re renegotiating trade deals.”
Huckabee went on to note how media outlets suck as the New York Times and the Washington Post use selecting editing in their photos to further disparage Trump and other conservatives.
