How Liberalism Completely Destroyed New York City
Democrat-run cities are miserable places to live.
Well, to be fair, if you live in a very gentrified area and manage to stay away from the human filth, the crime, and the incompetent and ham-stringed police, you might be okay in a liberal city. But, then you’ll have to be ultra-liberal because you’ll be surrounded by people who believe that there is such a thing as free stuff and that theft is morally acceptable if it is done by the government.
But, if you’re a working-class person, if you believe that people have the right to keep the fruits of their labor and that government has a duty to be minimally involved in all things at all times, then living in a Democrat-run city is a nightmare. It’s next to impossible to be given the legal right to carry a firearm despite the fact that you’re surrounded by crime. You’re taxed out of your pants, and the regulations are so steep and strange that if you manage to start your own business you’ll be taxed into a net earnings bracket lower than what you made when you worked for some stooge.
What’s more, if you love the great outdoors, and aren’t satisfied with the piddly trails they give you to walk in cities- you’ll hate living there. And good luck getting out because living in a city is so expensive that moving to the country is practically impossible unless you’re a top-earning toe-er of the line.
