Recently, Sen. Elizabeth Warren took a major step toward a 2020 Presidential run. At this point, it seems a near certainty that Warren will be one of the front-runners for the Democratic nomination. She has all of the fame and media attention to make a real run for the nomination. However, she falls well short of having what it takes to win the general election.
According to a Washington Examiner op-ed, Elizabeth Warren is the “Titanic of Democrats”. She has all the pomp and flare in the world surrounding her eventual campaign, yet she is destined to fail.
Warren tries to paint herself as a representative of the middle class who understands the true problems that the average American faces. While this may be the mask that Warren wears, her words and actions prove time and time again that she is completely distant and out of touch with the people she claims to represent. Taking a DNA test in an attempt to capitalize on her claims to minority status is just one example of how out of touch she truly is.
