Gillette Razors Rails Against Masculinity in Bizarre New Ad

What matters to you when you’re buying a new razor?

Is it the number or blades, or perhaps how well the product contours to your jawline? Well, apparently one of the largest suppliers of razors in the United States doesn’t care too much about any of that, because they really want you to know how “woke” they are.

In a strange move, Gillette came under fire from customers after its latest ad appeared to target masculinity and needlessly push feminist talking points. When you see the ad for yourself, you can easily forget that you’re watching a commercial for a shaving product.

The ad is the latest mainstream media attack on masculinity as a general concept. Based on what you’re seeing here, men are just out there aggressively pressuring every woman they can find to have sex with them. Now, you might be thinking to yourself that this perspective is insanely divorced from reality — and you’re right.

More than anything, it’s hard to see who exactly this ad is even for. Are feminists really out there buying razors en masse? We thought the more radical ones were actually against shaving because it’s a patriarchal concept or something?
