Now that the Mueller investigation has reached its conclusion and President Trump has been exonerated of any crimes, there was reason to hope that the costly, divisive, and ultimately pointless investigations into Trump and his administration would come to a halt. The Democratic Party, however, isn’t quite ready to give up the dream of seeing Trump removed from office.
Rather than accept the results that Robert Mueller – a man that those on the left have elevated to a god-like status – released, House Democrats are gearing up for the next wave of investigations by issuing congressional subpoenas to a number of current and former members of the Trump administration as well as Robert Mueller himself.
These congressional subpoenas, however, can no longer be viewed as legitimate. The investigation into President Trump is over, and despite the best efforts of those on the left, Trump remains in office. Any efforts by House Democrats to delay the inevitable and drag the investigation out even further should be met with stiff resistance from Trump, the GOP, and anyone who finds themselves being subpoenaed by House Democrats for what is ultimately petty and political reasons.
