Does Anybody Actually Want Joe Biden for President?

Despite remaining the frontrunner to win the Democratic nomination in 2020, former Vice President Joe Biden is finding himself with fewer and fewer supporters as the days go by.

It goes without saying that no one in the Republican Party would want to see Biden as President. Though arguably more palatable than some of the other far-left options, a Biden Presidency would be akin to another four years of the Obama Presidency – something our nation can ill-afford.

However, Biden is finding fewer and fewer allies among the Democratic party as well. The progressive wing of the Democratic Party – spearheaded by politicians such as Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – is no fan of Joe Biden, and has been attacking him more frequently and more harshly than anyone in the GOP. Even Democratic moderates have a hard time aligning themselves with Biden due to his age, lack of energy, and creepy behavior toward women.

So why, then, is Joe Biden still the frontrunner? The answer is that the bar for the 2020 Democratic field has been set so low that Biden is currently the best they’ve got. In a field full of progressive socialists and inexperienced hopefuls, Biden has been able to take the pole position – in spite of the fact that no one really wants to see him as President.
