Democrats Stumble Trying to Impeach William Barr

Up until just a few weeks ago, most Democrats were confident that the results of the Mueller investigation would enable them to impeach President Donald Trump. Now that this investigation is over, though, and Democrats are left with zero evidence that Trump has committed any crimes, many Democrats are now wanting to impeach Attorney Aeneral William Barr instead.

Congressional Democrats have accused Barr of lying, mishandling the investigation, and obstructing justice – all without any evidence. Even if Democrats had a real reason to believe that these accusations might be true, it’s still difficult to see how they would even be possible given that Barr was only acting on the report that was given to him by Robert Mueller – a report which concluded that no charges should be brought against President Trump.

Nevertheless, Democrats have created an insatiable thirst for impeachment, and if impeaching Trump isn’t an option, impeaching his attorney general instead will have to do. It’s a sad reality, but the process of impeachment has been weaponized by the Democratic Party and has lost all meaning in the process.
