Democrats are Now the Party of Political Violence
If you still imagine the political left as a hippie drum circle filled with pacifist tree huggers, you haven’t been paying attention.
The recent street clashes between violent left-wing activists and the pro-Western Proud Boys have made one thing abundantly clear: these so-called “anti-fascists” will stoop to any level to silence opinions they don’t like. And while there is some evidence to suggest that right-wing demonstrators that clashed with Antifa in New York may have also been in the wrong, it’s time to consider which side has made more of an effort to distance itself from its violent fringe.
Democrats make no apologies for violence. Even Senator Bernie Sanders, who was publicly supported by a man who shot up a baseball field filled with Republican lawmakers, offered a lukewarm assessment when he suggested that there were legitimate grievances espoused by violent demonstrators.
The Democratic response to what has happened in New York City, Portland, and other locations throughout the past few years is chilling and revealing. They don’t care if someone wearing a MAGA hat is jumped in the streets. Their okay with conservative activists being harassed in public locations. Worst of all, they get away with it because they are almost universally supported by the media that covers these events.
