There was little outrage when President Donald Trump was able to select his first Supreme Court nominee, as everyone knew that a nominee was hanging in the balance when the 2016 election first began.
Trump being able to select a second Supreme Court nominee in Brett Kavanaugh, though, was a blow that those on the left never saw coming. In response, the Democratic Party launched a weeks-long character assassination against Brett Kavanaugh that can only be described as vile and unmerciful.
These attempts ultimately failed, as Kavanaugh was confirmed in the Senate and now serves on the Supreme Court. However, the left still isn’t done with Kavanaugh quite yet. In the wake of Kavanaugh’s confirmation, those on the left have continued to launch one attack against him after the other. These include attempts to fire him from his position as a guest professor at George Mason University, attempts to launch investigations into Kavanaugh’s confirmation, and attempts to continue defaming and vilifying a man who has not been proven guilty of any wrongdoing.
In the end, the left’s hatred of Brett Kavanaugh is nothing more than a symptom of their hatred for Donald Trump, but that certainly does not make it any more excusable.
