Bernie Sanders Continues Spewing Socialist Nonsense

Right now, the United States is over $21 trillion in debt. In spite of this ominous reality, socialist politicians such as Bernie Sanders continue coming up with outlandishly expensive government programs one right after the other.

In his recent speeches, we’ve seen nothing but more of the same from Sen. Sanders. His misunderstanding of basic economics is outdone only by the droves of people who support him thanks to his policy of promising “free” stuff. Of course, there’s no such thing as “free” in politics or economics. Policies such as “free” college and “free” healthcare must be paid for either by increasing our astronomical debt even further or by raising taxes to a level that would cripple the economy. When asked which of these strategies he intends to use to pay for his policies, Sanders always deflects, rattles off something about the one-percent, and moves on to talking about the next “free” thing he’s offering to his supporters.

Sadly, this socialist nonsense has become something of a movement, and we’re now seeing more and more politicians molding themselves in the Bernie Sanders image. It’s a real and present danger that we now face. If left unchecked, Bernie Sanders and his ilk will lead the United States to a Venezuela-like economy on a road that is paved with “free stuff”.
