Bernie Sanders Clearly Doesn’t Understand Religion at All
In the United States, the left-wing is generally understood to be a secular movement. And, you know what? That’s completely fine.
Here’s a secret about religious Americans: they really don’t care. Well, they do in the sense that they might pray for the salvation of your soul, but that’s about where their involvement generally ends. Sure, there’s crazies like the Westboro Baptist Church, which struggles to bring 40 people together to do just about anything, but the overwhelming majority of religious Americans are happy to live and let live.
Watch carefully to see how Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders questions a religious Christian in the video below. You’ll notice that not only does the aging socialist not understand what he’s talking about, he has nothing but contempt for people like this.
According to Bernie, it’s deeply evil for a Christian to believe that a belief in Jesus is required for salvation in the next life. The thing is…of course Christians believe that. If they didn’t, they would need to choose a new religion, because that’s the entire point.
