AOC Owes the Country an Apology for Concentration Camp Remarks

Socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has stuck her foot in her mouth yet again, this time by claiming that the U.S. detention centers at the border where illegal immigrants are held for processing are tantamount to concentration camps.

Ocasio-Cortez is no stranger to over-the-top hyperbole. This is the same woman, after all, that claim the world was going to end in twelve years if we don’t abandon fossil fuels and stop farting cows. However, comparing detention centers in the United States to Nazi concentration camps is crossing a line.

Most importantly, these detention centers would not even be necessary if Congress would simply do their job and help solve the border crisis. With floods of illegal migrants crossing the border each day, the US is left with no other option but to detain them until they can be processed.

Ocasio-Cortez, however, has refused to apologize for her remarks and blames the GOP for focusing on her comparison rather than the issue itself. Regardless of how Ocasio-Cortez tries to dodge the backlash, though, the fact still remains that her choice of words was very poor, and she owes the entire country as well as the Jewish community an apology for making them.
