Ann Coulter Slams Trump for ‘Caving’ on Shutdown

After what ended up being the longest government shutdown in the history of the United States, President Donald Trump has reopened the government earlier this week by signing off on a temporary agreement that does not include funding for the border wall.

Naturally, some of his most hawkish supporters are furious — including the author of a book called In Trump We Trust.

According to the White House, Trump made this agreement in order to protect the hundreds of thousands of government employees who were furloughed or working without pay during the shutdown. However, the agreement is much more of a temporary cease-fire than it is a peace treaty. Negotiations concerning funding for the border wall are still ongoing, and, if no agreements are reached in the next few weeks, another shutdown is likely.

During the shutdown, Coulter and many other conservative commentators urged the president to stand firm until he got what he wanted: funding for a border wall.

Ann Coulter explains her frustration in the video below.
