Attorney General Jeff Sessions has ordered his Department of Justice to look deeper into the dealings of the controversial Clinton Foundation.
The highly anticipated move comes after months of many conservatives on Capitol Hill speculating when the Trump administration would make good on its promise to investigate potential criminal activity on behalf of the Clintons.
Among the events to be investigated include the infamous Uranium One deal, in which the Clintons effectively sounded off on the sale of uranium to a Russian state-owned company. Uranium is a critical ingredient in the development of nuclear technology and weapons.
While many Republican lawmakers are excited to move forward, many remain skeptical as to whether or not the AG will fully commit the DOJ’s resources to the probe.
