A Vote for Kamala Harris is a Vote AGAINST the Second Amendment

A lot can happen between now and the 2020 election. For now, though, Sen. Kamala Harris is one of the frontrunners in the race for the Democratic nomination. So, what does Harris intend to do if she is elected President? Among many other things, she plans to ban AR-15s.

At a recent town hall event, Kamala Harris claimed that there was no reason for “assault weapons” to be in the hands of civilians. Her comments drew a round of applause from her almost entirely liberal audience, but chances are they won’t play out quite as well among voters in a general election.

Despite what the mainstream media would have us to believe, most Americans remain very protective of their rights, including the right to bear arms. Any time a Democratic politician makes remarks about banning firearms, the attack ads from their Republican opponent practically write themselves. This was one of the most influential reasons why Beto O’Rourke lost to Ted Cruz in Texas, and it may be an issue that helps Donald Trump secure reelection.

Politics aside, Harris’s comments are alarming but unsurprising. Most modern Democrats harbor very little love for the Second Amendment, and many would abolish it entirely if given half a chance.
