5 of the Nuttiest Policies from the 2020 Democratic Candidates

The first round of the Democratic Presidential debates can only be described as a trainwreck of over-the-top pandering combined with terrible policy ideas. When the candidates weren’t speaking broken Spanish in an attempt to pander to the Hispanic community, they were putting forth policies that are truly astounding in how absurd they really are.

One such policy that almost every Democratic candidate claimed to be in support of was free healthcare for all illegal immigrants. At a time when our nation is struggling to provide affordable healthcare for its own citizens, almost every Democrat who hopes to lead the country plans to provide healthcare for free to non-citizens who have broken our laws and entered our country illegally.

This policy has received plenty of attention following the debates, but it certainly wasn’t the only nutty policy to come out of the spectacle. From abolishing the Electoral College to moving forward with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s laughably disastrous Green New Deal, it seems that the 2020 Democratic Presidential candidates certainly aren’t suffering from a shortage of terrible ideas. Now, one can only hope that none of them ever get the chance to put these ideas into action.
