North Korea has been a thorn in the side of the United States ever since the official conclusion of the Korean War.
“Thorn” is the right word. This is not a country that could cause a great deal of harm to the mainland. They may have nukes; we would handle them. However, the loss of one American life would honestly be too much for us to handle. We have the strongest military in the world. There is no reason that we should have to die in service to territories that we have already the conquered.
The meeting of President Donald Trump and Kim Jung Un represents something more than a meeting between America and North Korea. This has never been done before. The meeting we should be looking for is the meeting between good and evil. Capitalism and fascism. Freedom and slavery. There are better ways of living in this world, and the so called “Western” world has them all. Every single one of them. No one has a better society than us.
The meeting between President Trump and Kim Jung Un represents the meeting of two societies – one that is completely grounded in its values and one that kills and enslaves its citizens for no reason. Take a guess as to which is the one you live in.
